Course Overview

The Fixed Wing module is a comprehensive component of your Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) training, focusing on the fundamental principles of fixed-wing aircraft operations and control systems. This intensive course provides in-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanics, aerodynamics, and control surfaces essential for safe UAS operations.

Throughout this course, you’ll master critical concepts including:

• Aircraft axes and control surfaces (ailerons, elevators, and rudder)
• Four forces of flight (lift, weight, thrust, and drag)
• Stall recognition and recovery procedures
• Propeller dynamics and ESC operations
• LiPo battery management and safety protocols
